History of the Department:

         English was introduced as both a compulsory and optional subject in the academic year 1970-71, laying the foundation for our focus on language skills and literature appreciation. Established in June 1975, the English Department adopted a structured approach to teaching, enhancing education quality and expanding our offerings with dedicated faculty and resources.
